This occupational qualification prepares students to become competent Computer Technicians who
can diagnose, repair, maintain, and support computer hardware, software, networks, and
peripherals. The programme develops technical troubleshooting skills, systems support knowledge,
and the ability to assist users and organisations in maintaining efficient IT environments.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within scope. Install and configure operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
Format, partition, and maintain storage systems. Set up and troubleshoot network topologies, connectivity, and infrastructure.
Employ efficient record-keeping of technical issues, remedial actions, and performance evaluations. Apply sustainable IT practices (green technology) to reduce waste and energy consumption.
